Maybe people are no longer interested in philosophy because they think that the way they live is the ultimate possible variant. They are introduced form their first day on Earth inside a system that teaches them how to think dress, behave, action etc and it is called culture. Without it humans could not cooperate. Furthermore if you start asking questions and demolish the structure of your environment internal or external you better have something to put in place because otherwise you will be doomed to chaos
